This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the engineering and design principles behind satellites, including the space environment, the various systems and design requirements that go into building a satellite, and the different technologies used in satellite communications. Additionally, students will learn about the use of nanosatellites and the process of space mission analysis and design. The course also covers topics related to space systems engineering and project management, as well as the commercial applications of satellites. On successful completion of this course, the students shall have a good understanding on how satellites are engineered with knowledge on: ● The space environment and its effects on satellites ● Satellite platform systems and design requirements ● Satellite communications and emerging technologies ● Applications of nanosatellites ● Space mission analysis and design. ● Space systems engineering and project management; ● Commercial application
